Oceanencounters

Ocean encounters formed in the Belgian city of Tournai in 2015. Within just a year they were quickly playing repeat shows in the area, sometimes being asked to play two shows a day at different venues. With a musical style that's inspired by a wide plethora of different musical styles, it's hard to place this group into a single defined genre, placing them firmly among the original «modern djentcore» groups of the region. Fusing all the heaviest rhythmic sections of djent with brutal vocals and soaring chords of metalcore, they fill in the gaps with the occasional machine-gun rap verse and succeed in bringing together the best of all worlds.

They have been asked to open for a few big international bands passing the region including bands like Afar, The Bearded Basterds and Carcer city. The biggest of which being allowed to open for international metal giants Jinjer in June of 2018. The following year Ocean Encounters rounded of a 4-month 20 show run before the summer, where they planned fewer shows due to them heading into the studio to record their debut album «Anchored».

December marked a turning point for Ocean Encounters. Lola has joined the team as the new vocalist! She's made waves with her covers with Mcfly and Carlito, and now she's bringing her epic vocals to Ocean's newest tracks for their upcoming album "al" and their upcoming 2023 tours!
